A SHORT INTRODUCTION ABOUT
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Supply Chain management (SCM) is a process used by many companies to ensure that their supply chain is efficient and cost-effective. A supply chain is the collection of steps that a company takes to transform raw components into the final product. Typically, supply chain management is comprised of five stages: plan, develop, make, deliver, and return.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT IN NYP

Students from the Diploma in Business Management taking SCM options are required to undergo a compulsory Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP) attachment to gain experiences as well as interpersonal skills, team work skills, communication skills, management skills and so on. The TEP provides students with opportunities to integrate their classroom knowledge with hands-on learning in a real business environment on campus. TEP is also designed to enhance entrepreneurship development of our students. The TEP is complemented by an 11-week industrial placement programme where students are attached to public and private sector organisations.
